Are you interested to join the W4GF Key Collaborators?

Women4GlobalFund (W4GF) has been working with its Key Collaborators since June 2019. This relationship has ensured more strategic and systematic connection to key W4GF Advocates working at national levels to strengthen existing connections and to expand the W4GF movement.

W4GF is looking to add two (2) Key Collaborators to join this dynamic group. We especially welcome applications from women engaged in the Global Fund processes and structures in implementing countries who are:

  • young women born after 1990
  • advocates who work across malaria and gender
  • from Global Fund implementing countries beyond Albania; Ghana; India; Kenya; Malawi; Tanzania; and Zimbabwe who are already represented in the Key Collaborators group.

This group (Albania; Ghana; India; Kenya; Malawi; Tanzania; Zimbabwe) is made up of long standing and active W4GF Advocates working on Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs) and including women who support CCM representative and work to implement grants which advance effective programmes and services for women in all our diversity; that address gender inequality and are financed in part by the Global Fund.

W4GF Key Collaborators provide guidance to the W4GF Team on its three objectives and sustain the following (ensuring balance of attention to HIV, TB and malaria):

  • Strengthen more dynamic dialogue between the W4GF Secretariat and W4GF Advocates at the forefront, to fine-tune priorities which emerge from discussions at the global/regional and national levels to better inform W4GF direction and strategy.
  • Develop more coordinated global advocacy actions and priorities that align with the national realities and to support the development of key messages on new and emerging issues as they relate to women (and girls) living with HIV, affected by TB and malaria in all our diversity.
  • Identify essential communication resources including anything essential to women in the context of the Global Fund.

W4GF is guided by its three objectives to sustain a platform with women in all our diversity. The following key areas of work guide the W4GF Team in its role to support women in implementing countries and to strengthen focus on Global Fund policy and process to uphold human rights and achieve gender equity.

  • Objective 1: To improve awareness and understanding of Global Fund processes, policies and investment support among women in all their diversity around the world – so women of different backgrounds and experiences become stronger advocates, to influence how the Global Fund achieves gender equity and human rights at all levels;
  • Objective 2: To create a platform where women make connections, learn from each other, strategize and collaborate to set priorities for Global Fund advocacy;
  • Objective 3: To secure accountability for and critique of Global Fund investments: tracking Global Fund–supported programmes and services, and influencing global and national processes to inform stronger programming for women and girls.
