Speaking for the donor bloc (all of the Board members from donor constituencies) Brian Brink (from Anglo American – the private sector Board member) spoke about gender when the board was discussing an agenda item about Corporate KPIs (key performance indicators).
He presented a decision point with amendments (so he asked to change what had been suggested) and made a specific request of the secretariat to take more action on gender.The new decision point was to complement indicator results with sex and age disaggregated data where feasible. This will ensure that the Global Fund will be able to track its investments better and the impact of these investments on women and girls.
