UNDP has asked Women4GF to organise a panel discussion on their behalf around the tools that ensure gender equality is central to Global Fund proposals. The purpose of the discussion is to highlight the UNDP Gender Checklist, the UNAIDS Gender Assessment tool and other tools that can support W4GF Advocates participating in country processes of the NFM to ensure that concept notes (submitted to the Global Fund) address gender inequality, which is widely recognised as a driver of the HIV epidemic.
The panel discussion will take place on Wednesday, July23,2014 at 9:30 – 10:30am (Melbourne time) in the Women’s Networking Zone of the Global Village.
Speakers at the event will include:
Claudia Ahumada (UNAIDS), Ludo Bok (UNDP),Nazneen Damji (UN Women), Sophie Dilmitis (W4GF), Jill Gay (What Works for Women) Robin Gorna (W4GF) and Susana Fried (UNDP) will join the discussion virtually.
