Gender and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria

Community Consultation

In-person consultation on March 14th, 9:00-5:00

Why?

The Global Fund has a deep commitment to gender equality and women and girls. With the Gender Equality Strategy, the Fund has attempted to increase its strategic investments in interventions that improve the health of women and girls.  However, the Global Fund and its partners also recognize that much more needs to be done to effectively meet the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and support needs of women and girls who are living with or affected by the three diseases.   This consultation provides the opportunity for women living with HIV, or affected by TB or Malaria, women in key populations, and organizations working to promote women’s health and rights, to provide direct input into the process to develop the Global Fund’s strategic plan for the period 2017-2019.  The goal of this consultation is to develop concrete recommendations for how the Global Fund can better meet the needs of women and girls through its strategic investments, as well as policies and processes.

What?
