Gender and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria

Community Consultation

Online Consultation

The Global Fund has a deep commitment to gender equality and women and girls. With the Gender Equality Strategy, the Fund has attempted to increase its strategic investments in interventions that improve the health of women and girls.  However, the Global Fund and its partners also recognize that much more needs to be done to effectively meet the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and support needs of women and girls who are living with or affected by the three diseases.

This online consultation provides the opportunity for women living with HIV, or affected by TB or Malaria, women in key populations, and organizations working to promote women’s health and rights, and partners to provide direct input into the process to develop the Global Fund’s strategic plan for the period 2017-2019Specifically, the consultation will identify areas where further work is needed to improve women’s participation in Global Fund processes, help the Global Fund focus its funding on the right things, and provide strategic recommendations for its work moving forward.

The online consultation is available in  EnglishFrench, and Spanish and will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

The online consultation will close on April 17, 2015.

Outcome
The International Women’s Health Coalition will prepare a consultation report, taking into account the results of the online survey and an in-person consultation held in New York in March 2015. The report will feed into ongoing conversations on the Global Fund’s Strategy for 2017-2019.

The report will be sent to all who have participated, as well as the Secretariat and Board of the Global Fund.
