Calling Women4Global Fund advocates: Stop TB Partnership: Call for Technical Assistance Consultants

This call for applications closes on 15-September-2015.  Please apply!

Stop TB has just opened a call for applications to generate a roster of consultants for technical assistance work. The roster allows rapid issue of contracts when work arises because consultants are pre-cleared by UNOPS. New formal rules governing how external consultants are recruited, and unless they are pre-cleared on a roster, there are strict limits on individual contract size and duration and the number of contracts which can be issued per consultant.

This will entail filling out the application form, submission of a UN-format CV and finally, an interview with Stop TB / TB REACH and UNOPS HR.  Once pre-cleared, there are significantly fewer limits on how work is contracted out.  The process requires an upfront time investment, but affords long-lasting flexibility as pre-clearance lasts for multiple years.

The call for applications is geared towards Global Fund processes (National Strategic Plan and Concept Note development) and TB program reviews, but these themes cover many areas of technical expertise. More details are available here.

If you apply, please note the minimum requirements in the application. In particular please ensure that the information in your application shows clearly that you have:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience post master’s degree or seven (7) years post bachelor’s degree in working in delivering technical assistance related to global health and development work with key vulnerable populations.
  • Proven track record in liaising with multilateral and bilateral organizations as well as with country implementing partners.
  • Experience in developing countries especially with national tuberculosis or HIV programs and regional partners in developing countries.

An automated algorithm will screen out applicants whose qualifications do not meet the minimum requirements stated in the link above.  If you do not meet the minimum requirements for whatever reason, but are still interested in the position, please contact Stop TB Partnership for further discussions.
