Complete this application here before 12:00hrs CET 14th May 2016 to be considered by Women4GlobalFund (W4GF) for a workshop on Strengthening Gender Champions on Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs). W4GF aims to build and strengthen a strong and diverse network of gender equality advocates – especially women living with HIV and affected by TB and malaria to participate on the CCMs. This four day workshop from 28 June – 1 July 2016 to be held in Bangkok, organised by W4GF and the Communities Delegation on the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, supported by Stop TB Partnership and the Global Fund Secretariat and hosted by APCASO will engage gender equality advocates from the communities at the national level to increase the involvement of effective and meaningful community engagement on the CCMs. The workshop will support women where CCM engagement, especially from the communities and civil society are the

weakest, as well as having weak gender components in concept note in the Global Fund allocation cycle 2014 – 2016. The workshop objectives are to:

  1. Strengthen the capacity of HIV, TB and malaria community and civil society gender advocates to engage in CCMs, as well as relevant country processes, including National Strategic Plans (NSPs) development and Country Dialogues;
  2. Sharpen the advocacy skills of W4GF advocates on rights-based and gender-transformative HIV, TB and malaria programming;
  3. Foster solidarity and support amongst gender advocates engaged in CCM processes within and across countries and the three diseases; and
  4. Facilitate understanding of the 2017 – 2022 Global Fund Strategy: Investing to End Epidemics and its Strategic Key Performance Indicators Framework, and develop a roadmap for gender advocates to be involved in the next allocation cycle and related country level processes.

Please note that the workshop will only be facilitated in English, and we are soliciting participants from the following countries: Pakistan, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Indonesia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, South Sudan and Bolivia.
