W4GF WEBINAR RECORDING & PRESENTATIONS: COMMUNITY MONITORING: HOLDING THE GLOBAL FUND ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACTION ON GENDER

W4GF WEBINAR RECORDING & PRESENTATIONS: COMMUNITY MONITORING: HOLDING THE GLOBAL FUND ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACTION ON GENDER

26 Women4GlobalFund (W4GF) advocates and partners joined the W4GF Secretariat today (Monday July 29th) to learn about the W4GF Community Based Monitoring & Feedback Accountability Toolkit that supports women already engaged in Global Fund national processes. This toolkit supports women to collect qualitative rights-based, gender-responsive data to monitor programmes funded by the Global Fund in their country. This compliments the quantitative data already collected to measure progress around women and adolescent girls and young women, such as the indicators that currently only count numbers of people tested and treated but do not speak to the quality of services or the reality and needs of women throughout our lives.

RECORDING AND PRESENTATIONS

The slides presented by the W4GF Secretariat are available here: unpacking the W4GF toolkit to sustain global & national advocacy to enabling women to track global fund investments towards gender equality across HIV, TB & malaria.

In addition to learning about the Toolkit – the Global Fund (Rene Bangert) presented slides outlining how community based monitoring fits in at the Global Fund and highlighted the opportunities to access support. Participants also learnt of the incredible community based monitoring efforts being conducted by organisations in India, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. The slides of these presentations are available in the links below:
