As the world scales up action and accelerates important efforts to end TB, we must work hard to close the gaps that cause women and men with TB to be marginalised and left behind. Get involved now! The world needs need more gender analysis and gender-responsive programming around TB programming at national levels. TB is now the leading cause of death for women globally, there is an increasingly urgent need to direct efforts and resources to understanding the ways in which the risks and effects of TB are determined by sex and gender roles.

The Union is is inviting application for the Union Community Advisory Panel (UCAP) and the UCAP Selection Committee. Since its inception in 2016, UCAP has advised The Union’s board and staff regarding global priorities and needs of affected communities and civil society. The UCAP Selection Committee, which will be made up of affected community and civil society representatives, is responsible for independently selecting UCAP members.

W4GF Advocates are encouraged to apply for the seven regional civil society representatives if you are from: Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, North America, the Middle East and South East Asia. You can also apply if you represent affected communities including people affected by Tuberculosis (TB), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma and other lung health conditions.
