Webinar on Matching Funds and Catalytic Funding TB in the

2020-2022 Funding Cycle

Calling all W4GF Advocates. Engage with the Regional Platform for Communication and Coordination for Anglophone Africa and their guest speakers, Gemma Oberth and Maurine Murenga to discuss the TB catalytic funding in this funding cycle 2020-2022, including what we learnt from the matching funds in the 2017-2019 funding cycle.

WHEN?

Join the Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS and Health Service Organisations (EANNASO) for a webinar on Thursday 4 June 2020 at 15:00-16:30 (EAT)

Each funding cycle, the Global Fund sets aside a portion of resources additional to country allocations referred to as catalytic investments in order to address issues which cannot be adequately addressed by the country allocations alone. In the 2020-2022 funding cycle, the Global Fund has set aside a pool of US$890 million, comprised of three categories namely: Matching Funds, Multi-country approaches and strategic initiatives. The ultimate purpose of Matching Funds is to incentivize countries to use their allocations in alignment with strategic priority areas, with the global goals of ending HIV, TB and malaria by 2030 in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Matching Funds are designed to inspire innovation and ambitious evidence-based programming approaches.
