Activism and AIDS: Protect civil society’s space to end the epidemic

Launch of new research during the 23rd International AIDS conference, examines the risks and restrictions facing civil society who are fighting to end the HIV and AIDS epidemic. Speakers will share how new COVID-19 restrictions undermine and dilute their efforts to carry out their work on HIV and AIDS and further jeopardise the achievements towards ending AIDS by 2030. Speakers will also discuss how current challenges could be addressed.

Civil society around the world are especially encouraged to join the webinar and share their experiences on how their basic civil liberties are at risk by using #OpenCivicSpace on Twitter or share them during the webinar.
