UNAIDS panel discussion: Partnerships with civil society and communities: 25 April

Reposting

In 2021, a new Global AIDS Strategy 2021-2026, End Inequalities, End AIDS, was launched and the UNGA adopted a new ambitious Political Declaration on HIV and AIDS: Ending Inequalities and Getting on Track to End AIDS by 2030.

To ensure the effective domestication of the Global strategy, UNAIDS is hosting a Regional Cluster Meeting hosted by our Executive Director, Ms. Winnie Byanyima and Anne Githuku-Shongwe, ESA Regional Director to be held on April 25-29, 2022, in Johannesburg.

On the first day of the regional meeting, UNAIDS is planning a series of panels and engagements with our partners that will assist us to better contextualise the AIDS response in East and Southern Africa that remains the epi-centre of the pandemic. These series of panels will be held on the first day of the meeting on April 25th in Johannesburg. A virtual link where travel is not possible.

Given the impact of the colliding impacts on the Region, UNAIDS is organising a panel discussion from 13:35 to 15:00 (Johannesburg time) on 25 April on “Partnerships with civil society and communities”.

Please join this on-line session and help UNAIDS explore how to strengthen our partnerships to deliver on this ambitious goal to end AIDS by 2030!
