An open letter, signed by over 110 civil society organizations worldwide, us included, has been issued, urging UN Member States and their diplomats to stand firm against the growing backlash at the CSW. This backlash threatens the progress made in sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as the rights of women and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
As negotiations continue, we must intensify our efforts and maintain pressure on Member States. Our collective action can pave the way for significant advancements in these critical areas, especially in the face of conservative agendas promoted by anti-rights groups.
