Svitlana Moroz has 14 years’ experience in management and governance with local CBOs of people living with HIV (PLHIV) and people who use drugs «Club «Svitanok, including managing local sub-grants of the Global Fund (Round 1, 6, 9) providing community-based HIV services for PLHIV, people who use drugs, vulnerable women and children, and prisoners, as well as communities’ mobilisation.
Svitlana has 4 years’ experience with the Regional Technical Advisory Group (RTAG) established by Eurasian Harm Reduction Network, providing strategic guidance to develop and implement the Regional Program “Harm Reduction Works – Fund It!” funded by the Global Fund ATM. Svitlana served on the Expert Panel to develop recommendations in selection of Sub-Recipients and Sub-Sub-Recipients.
From 2011-2016 Svitlana co founded the Union of Women of Ukraine affected by HIV “Positive Women” and was a lead author of community-based research led and driven by women living with HIV (WLHIV). She co-author a Shadow Report on the situation of women who use drugs, WLHIV, sex workers, and lesbian, bisexual women and transgender people in Ukraine, submitted to the 66th CEDAW session. In March-May 2017 she participated in Ukraine’s Funding Request Application (2018-2020) and took part in two working sub-groups. In 2006-2007 Svitlana was a member of the Communities Delegation to the Board of the Global Fund
Svitlana led the Eurasian Women’s Network on AIDS (EWNA) for 4 years to ensure adequate gender equality standards and commitments. Working in close collaboration with the Central Asia Association of PLHIV, UNAIDS National Programme and UN WOMEN National Project on Gender and HIV (2015) she led the analysis of the existing policy and legislative framework aimed at HIV prevention/response in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
In 2014 Svitlana engaged in the values and preferences Global survey on the SRHR of WLHIV and then the external review of the WHO Consolidated Guideline on SRHR of WLHIV launched in February 2017. Svitlana is a member of the Advisory Group of the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS hosted by UNAIDS. (March 2017)
