The Global Fund Community, Rights and Gender Department seeks input on draft implementation plan of the Gender Equality Strategy.
Attached is the proposed Plan of Implementation of the Global Fund’s Gender Equality Strategy (GES): it sets out in some detail the actions that the Global Fund and its partners will undertake in the coming years to implement the GES and work to improve the response for women and girls.

This document is the result of a long process. We have listened to many of you in recent months, have taken into account internal and external recommendations, have learned many lessons from the previous plan’s incomplete implementation, and have come up with what we believe is a “comprehensive but realistic” plan. We would very much appreciate if you could give us your comments and suggestion on the plan, and we hope that we can also count on you as partners to take action to implement it. We’ve tentatively put responsible department and lead partners, but these are of course subject to change if you have objections.
