Complete this application here before 12:00hrs CET Friday 11th November 2016 to be considered by Women4GlobalFund (W4GF) for a workshop on Strengthening Capacity of Women and Gender Equality Advocates to Effectively Participate in Global Fund Country Processes under the New Strategy.
The workshop will work with women and gender equality advocates working at the national level to build capacity to meaningfully engage in Global Fund processes under the new Global Fund Strategy 2017 – 2022. This three day workshop from 12 -14 December 2016 will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Organised by W4GF the workshop is supported by ViiV Healthcare and hosted by Access Chapter 2.
The workshop objectives are to:
- Strengthen the capacity of women’s rights and gender equality advocates to engage effectively in Global Fund country processes to ensure Funding Requests respond to the needs of women and girls in all their diversity across HIV, TB and malaria;
- Increase knowledge and awareness of the 2017 – 2022 Global Fund Strategic Framework and Key Performance Indicators Framework and changes in the Global Fund’s funding model and application methodology;
- Develop action plans to sustain community-led efforts on gender equality across HIV, TB and malaria – especially highlighting the Global Fund’s key focus on adolescent girls and young women in participating countries;
- Foster global solidarity amongst women’s rights and gender equality advocates within and across countries on HIV, TB and malaria.
The workshop will gather women’s rights and gender equality advocates in countries due to submit Funding Requests to the Global Fund for consideration between February and August 2017.
Please note that the workshop will only be facilitated in English only.We are soliciting participants from the following countries only: Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
