[French] Le 30 juin, Alia Amimi, W4GF Gender Advocacy Lead, a présenté les principaux aspects sur les mécanismes du Fonds Mondial, à 21 femmes du Cameroun afin de comprendre le contexte du pays dans la lutte contre le paludisme, le VIH et la tuberculose. La session s’est déroulée par groupes de participants à Yaoundé et à Bamenda, avec la participation de membres du CCM, de la SC et d’autres associations. Le groupe a discuté du rôle, des conditions de financement et des processus du Fonds Mondial, entre autres, donnant aux participants une idée plus claire de la position et de l’engagement du Cameroun dans la #GC7 et, surtout, de l’importance et des avantages d’avoir une participation inclusive et significative des femmes dans toute leur diversité aux différentes phases du processus.
[English] On June 30th, Alia Amimi, W4GF Gender Advocacyead, presented the main aspects of the Global Fund to 21 women from Cameroon to understand the country’s context in the fight against malaria, HIV, and TB. The session took place in participant groups in Yaoundé and Bamenda, with the participation of CCM members, the SC, and from other associations. The group discussed the role, funding conditions, and processes of the Fund, among other topics, providing participants with a clearer picture of Cameroon’s position and commitment in the #GC7, and, most importantly, the significance and benefits of having inclusive and meaningful participation of women in all their diversity in various phases of the process.
