July 13th 2023
Women4GlobalFund held a session about Community-led Monitoring on 13th July 2023 with National Focal Points and key partners from 10 different countries to implement capacity building and empower women and communities to lead CLM processes in their countries. We discussed the Global Fund’s mission, how to plan, collect, analyse, and apply data for a more gender-sensitive HIV, TB, and malaria response, and how to make sure that established CLM advocacy initiatives in their countries are linked more effectively.
Through CLM, communities and service users can monitor initiatives and health service delivery, track discrimination and human rights abuses, and access resources like psychosocial assistance and legal representation. Empowering community groups and service users to collaborate with providers and decision-makers using CLM data improves the availability, accessibility, acceptability, cost, and quality of health services. CLM actively involves communities resolving program quality issues and promoting people-centred care, leveraging their unique perspectives and experiences. In case you missed it, we are thrilled to share the recording of the CLM Academy session and the presentation slides we used.
