Women4GF is excited to be running three sessions alongside the conference in Melbourne. We are keen to invite a broad range of Global Fund advocates, gender equality advocates, women living with HIV/TB and key affected women – in all their diversity – to contribute their ideas and learn more about how the Global Fund can do more to ensure that programmes meet the need of all women and girls affected by HIV, TB and malaria, and to advance gender equality.
Ever since the Global Fund Board adopted the Gender Equality Strategy in 2008 there have been efforts to do more to address gender inequity that slows responses to all three diseases, and in particular HIV. Over the past 12 months there has been a big push to do more on gender equality – Women4GF is part of that effort to push the agenda forward and has arrange three meetings in the Global Village to engage with people in Melbourne this July. There will be an exciting range of speakers, so please join us at the following events:
