From 27 — 29 October 2013, TB advocates will meet in Paris to focus on gender equality and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund).
This meeting will build upon a global retreat of 35 women’s rights advocates working primarily at the community level, and of whom three-quarters are openly living with HIV, who met at the Global Fund’s offices in Geneva in July 2013. The October Paris workshop is the second in a series designed to create a diverse, effective global mobilization of advocates who will strengthen women’s engagement with the Global Fund and seek to advance gender equality through its unique funding mechanism.
